NEW VENUE FOR MEETINGS

From the start of 2010, all future meetings of the Society will be held at our Library and within the Community Centre.

Dates will be the first Saturday afternoon of every second month. However, the April meeting will be on the second Saturday in the month (to avoid Easter).

 

 

SATURDAY SEMINAR

Saturday, 10th April - "Scottish Research"

Presenter: John Blackwood

This day is for everyone who has a drop of Scottish blood!

John will initially tell us how to go about researching Scottish Family history including the use of Old Parochial Records,

Civil Registration, Census Records, Wills and Testaments, and Land Records.

After a luscious afternoon tea, his second talk will be about using the Scotland's People website.

 Library will be open from 11.30am  for research. BYO lunch (tea/coffee supplied).

The seminar begins at 1.30pm  and will finish around 4.00pm

Cost: $3 for MPFHS members, Visitors most welcome ($5)

Venue:  Frankston South Recreation Centre, Towerhill Rd, Frankston (Melways 102 E7)

First and third Wednesday evenings of each month from 7pm - 9pm
