NEW VENUE FOR MEETINGS

From the start of 2010, all future meetings of the Society will be held at our Library and within the Community Centre.

Dates will be the first Saturday afternoon of every second month beginning on 6th February, 2010

The April meeting will be on the second Saturday in the month (to avoid Easter).

 

 

SATURDAY SEMINAR

Saturday, 6th February - "In Search of Kings"

Presenter: Tony De Bolfo

This is a talk not to be missed whether or not you have Italian ancestry.

Tony has given this talk at the PROV open day to a packed house (you could have heard a pin drop!), and also featured on the ABC’s “Australian Story” program.

 Fascinating research into the descendants of Italian immigrants who arrived on the “Re d’Italia” (King of Italy) in 1927

 Library will be open from 12noon for research. BYO lunch (tea/coffee supplied).

The talk begins at 2.00pm - a luscious afternoon tea is supplied - and will finish around 4.00pm

Cost: $3 for MPFHS members, Visitors most welcome ($5)

Venue:  Frankston South Recreation Centre, Towerhill Rd, Frankston (Melways 102 E7)
